Lehigh Career & Technical Institute student Courtney Gimbar recently earned national recognition for her photography.

Courtney’s photo, “Beach Horses,” won a 2020 East Central Pennsylvania Scholastic Art & Writing Awards silver medal, a national level honor. The Northern Lehigh High School senior and other regional winners were chosen from a group of more than 400,000 entrants and represent the top 1 percent of creative students across the country, according to the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.

Mr. Aretz, Courtney’s Commercial Photography/Electronic Imaging teacher, also shares in the award. This is her fourth year in the program.
