FUNDING OPTIONS
Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s Adult Workforce Education courses are approved for the following federal and state funding sources.
Workforce Investment Opportunities Act (WIOA) & Pennsylvania CareerLink
The Workforce Investment Opportunities Act, administered locally by Pennsylvania CareerLink, helps job seekers access the employment opportunities, education, training and support services they need to succeed in the labor market. WIOA also helps match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. Funding approval may take four to six weeks. Learn more about WIOA and CareerLink.
Trade Adjustment Assistance/Trade Readjustment Act (TAA/TRA)
The Trade Adjustment Assistance/Trade Readjustment Allowance is a federal program that provides paths for employment growth and opportunity through aid for U.S. workers who’ve lost their jobs due to foreign trade. Learn more about TAA/TRA.
Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR)
The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation provides vocational rehabilitation services to help people with disabilities prepare for, obtain or maintain employment. OVR delivers services to eligible persons both directly and through a network of approved vendors. Services are provided on an individualized basis. Learn more about OVR.
Veterans Affairs (VA)
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offers a variety of benefits that cover tuition and other educational expenses. The category of benefit will determine an applicant’s eligibility and entitlement. To apply for a Certificate of Eligibility or COE, visit the VA’s eBenefits webpage. It may take three to five weeks for applicants to receive their results. Students must provide LCTI with a COE. The following VA benefits cover the cost of LCTI courses.

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute is currently offering the following scholarships for Adult Workforce Education students.
Heavy Equipment & Transportation Training Scholarship
Lehigh Career & Technical Institute offers a variety of courses that help adults launch or advance successful careers as heavy equipment operators, truck drivers and more. You may be eligible to take them for free! In order to be considered for scholarships funded by Lehigh County, applicants must 1. ) Be Lehigh County residents who live outside of Allentown and Bethlehem, 2. ) Meet income requirements, 3. ) Have a valid driver’s license and 4. ) Be willing to participate in a Pennsylvania CareerLink work-readiness assessment. COVID-19 Hardship Scholarship
In partnership with Lehigh County, Lehigh Career & Technical Institute is offering scholarships to Lehigh County residents who live outside of Allentown and Bethlehem, meet income requirements and can demonstrate job loss or financial hardship caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Lehigh Career & Technical Institute accepts cash, personal checks, money orders and the following credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Tuition and textbook fees must be paid in full at least one week prior to the start of class.
