ALLENTOWN, Pa. | Lehigh Career & Technical Institute celebrated the Class of 2024 on Wednesday (May 29, 2024) during the school’s annual Senior Recognition Night at PPL Center.

It was a memorable evening that featured the debut of LCTI’s Class of 2024 video, as well as remarks from six student speakers and Dr. Lisa Greenawalt, the school’s executive director. Administrators and teachers also presented trophies, certificates of award, and certificates of recognition to seniors at the ceremony.

LCTI’s administrators presented schoolwide awards to the following five seniors:

• Career & Technical Student Organization Leadership Award winner Ashley Chila is an Allentown Central Catholic High School student in the Computer Information Technology program. Learn more Ashley.
• Outstanding Career Academy Program Senior Award winner Kayla Ruedas is a Parkland High School student in the Dental Technology program. Learn more about Kayla.

Each of the evening’s six student speakers reflected on their experience at LCTI, why it was special, and how it prepared them for the next chapter of their lives.

The student speakers were:

• Melody Baez Martinez, a Painting & Design student from William Allen High School.
• Jaden Barasch, an Electrical Technology student from Parkland High School. 
• Valeria Garcia Lopez, a Marketing & Entrepreneurship student from Louis E. Dieruff High School.
• Anne Langan, an Advertising Design/Commercial Art student from Allentown Central Catholic High School.
• Emerson Slaughenhoupt, a Criminal Justice student from Parkland High School.
• Joshua Trotter, a Health & Medical Sciences student from William Allen High School.
